Exposure My Heart

Source: Exposure My Heart

Opened much too soon to a lovely face

that erased me as soon as my utterings were done,

Opened myself to a grace

disinterested in being mine,

Skin so lovely my tongue wanted a taste

of that casing only so deep,

Next time I won’t be beguiled

by style and symmetry,

Next time I love, it will be

passionate poetry,

Exposing my soul to a stranger,

strangled my faith in the next.

Into The Misty Twilight

Awakened by  a whispered call

“Come Forth”

Your time is not yet, stall

Whisper told me whats to come

“Move Forward”

My plans for you are just for some

Hush tones tickled open ears

“Have Faith”

Leave it to me,  lose your fears

In dusk’s after glow,  I am illuminated

“I am the bread of life”

In His mighty spirit,  my soul vindicated

beasts abound landscapes

stretch tendons showcase trained brawn

animals sensing

recess, leisure, no cabins

sunshine hoist mood scads higher

Turn Down The Noise

Turn down the noise seeking focus

I can’t play night owl

Volume shakes the floor beneath

I just can’t allow

Commotion crowds my soul,

with dimensions of bulletins unequal

I just can’t snatch my goal,

life can be a sequel

Assaulting my pillow, dominating space

Elbow, flip, lie on my belly

Note, to, self:   to keep self ace

Turn off the damn telly
